In collaboration with AMREF, Talanta Institute hosted a career day that brought together over 300 enthusiastic youth from the Dagoretti constituencies. The event encouraged youth to embrace their talents and explore diverse career paths, showcasing the educational opportunities provided by Talanta Institute. It also highlighted partnerships like the one between Talanta Institute and AMREF, empowering youth in the community.
The career day emphasized embracing talents and exploring varied career paths. Dr. Caroline Njuguna, Talanta Institute's managing director, exemplified this by showcasing her talents as a DJ and dancer alongside her medical qualifications. AMREF Health Africa focused on sexual health rights, with Madam Ann Gitimu delivering a speech on advocacy and providing free medical checkups for youth.
Hon. Martin Mbugua, the MCA representing Mutuini Ward, encouraged youth to harness their talents, particularly in media courses offered by Talanta Institute. He pledged bursaries to support youth education. Mr. Paul Mukoma, CEO of Princecam Media and founder of Talanta Institute, shared his success journey from a tout to a successful CEO and entrepreneur, inspiring the audience to follow their dreams.
The event also promoted social causes, with the Dagoretti Greeners CBO participating in a tree-planting ceremony symbolizing environmental sustainability and community development.
